Lena F. “P.J.” Cook, 76, of Benton died Thursday afternoon June 25, 2009 in the Franklin Hospital in Benton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 28 in the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton, with the Rev. Rick McClintock officiating. Burial will be in the Ewing Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
She was born March 17, 1933 in Sandusky, the daughter of Clifton and Mary Bessie (Beaty) Browning.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Clark and husband Ronnie; a son Rick Cook and wife Barb; six grandchildren, Amanda Wilson, Joshua McClintock, Priscilla McClintock, Craig Price, Stephanie Price, and Chelsea Price; three step-grandchildren, Abby Cover, Tiffany Cover and Cassandra Cover; 11 great-grandchildren, and one brother, John Browning and wife Phelda of Tennessee.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her parents and a cousin Pansy Czuprynski and husband Ted Czuprynski.
