Franklin M. "Frank" Milby Jr. was a man who knew how to make you laugh, or to build you up with a kind word if you needed one.
Born March 3, 1944, in Wilmington, N.C., Frank spent his life devoted to his Lord, to his beautiful wife of 45 years, Sandy, and to raising his three children: Mike, of Wauchula, Fla., Mark of Mulkeytown and his daughter, Teri of Peoria. He also took great pride, and even childlike joy in his 10 grandchildren: Nikki, Christina, Dani, Megan, Madison, Katie, Jack, Paris, Ember and Emma.
He imparted his faith to his children and his grandchildren, as well as his love of fishing and his numerous jokes. His wife Sandy also patiently endured his love for golfing.
Frank also served his country in the Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
If you asked Frank what he would want to be remembered for, he would instantly tell you that he would like to have thought he was a good husband, father, grandpa, brother, friend and a man who loved his God, worked hard and played even harder.
On August 26, 2010, Frank went home to meet his Savior, where he knew he would be joined by his mother and father and friends who had gone before him. Although bodily he has left, his family knows his values, his loyalty, his humor and his zeal for life will remain.
