Troy Alan "Troyboy" Williams, 30, beloved son of Carl and Dorothy  Dee Ann (Martin) Williams of Valier, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, in an accident on Interstate 57.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, at the First Baptist Church of Valier, officiated by Brother Frank Senter. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the church.

The Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation and will be accepted at the church or sent to the funeral home.

Williams was born on July 9, 1979, in Carbondale.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Valier. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish.

He was a wonderful friend, and loving brother and uncle to Travis and wife Erin Williams of Mt. Vernon, and Trent Williams of Benton and fiancé Stefanie Trogolo. He also is survived by a niece, Taylor Williams, and nephews, Devin and Brendon Williams.

Troy was adored and will be sadly missed by family and friends. If you didn't love Troy, it's because you didn't know him.
