Rochelle “Shelly” Motsinger, 68, of Sesser went to be with the Lord at 5:52 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009.

The family has honored Shelly’s wishes to be cremated and will lay her to rest in Daytona Beach, Fla., at a later date. The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m.  Thursday, June 25, at her residence at 513 W. Florence, Sesser, IL 62884.

Ms. Motsinger was born on Oct. 23, 1940, in Minnesota, the daughter of Otto and Alma Stroberger.

She was a retired production worker for Command Medical, Ormond Beach, Fla.  She was active in Democrat politics for many years.

She is survived by her children, Annette (Holmberg) Adams, Loganville, Ga., Tom Holmberg, Palm Coast, Fla., Mitch Holmberg, Conyers, Ga., Teri Adams, South Daytona, Fla., and Gerri Ann (Adams) Courtright, Loganville, Ga.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Gagin, Missouri, Sharon Bunch, California; one brother, Christopher Gagin, California; and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Motsinger was preceded in death by her parents.

Shelly will be greatly missed by all.
