Larry Sheridan, 66, of Benton passed away Tuesday morning, March 9, 2010, at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 12, at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with Brother Larry Cook officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Larry was born in Ina on Sept. 22, 1943, the son of Courtney and Flora (Fletcher) Sheridan.

He married Joyce Anderson on Aug. 10, 1963.

Larry was a retired coal miner and an antique dealer. He was a master finisher who was very passionate in what he did. He loved spending time with his daughters and grandchildren, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Sheridan of Benton; two daughters, Robin Storey and husband, Mark, of Benton, and Tanya Thompson and husband, Wade, of St. Peters, Mo.; four grandchildren, Katlyn and Holden Storey, and Erin and Kristin Thompson; he also leaves behind Missie, man's best friend; two sisters, Mildred Watts and husband, Howard, of Ina, and Florene Milliner of Ina; two brothers, Bob Sheridan of Ina, and Junior Sheridan and wife, Pat, of Ava; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kenny; and one sister, Beatrice Kash.
