Mrs. Stella B. Robinson of New Minden, departed this life at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at 4:25 a.m. She had attained the age of 41 years, 8 months and 28 days.
Funeral services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, Ill., on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Alan Nolman and Pastor Robbie Chitwood officiating and interment in the Carlyle Public Cemetery in Carlyle. Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until the service hour.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions can be made to the Washington County Relay for Life and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
Mrs. Robinson was born on Oct. 29, 1968, in Sparta, the daughter of Robert W. and Jenetta F. (Harrison) Gouge. She was united in marriage to Tim Robinson on Dec. 28, 1992, at the Christ View Christian Church in Christopher, and he survives her passing.
Stella worked in the housekeeping department at the Friendship Manor Healthcare Center in Nashville, Ill., for many years. She was a member of the Grace Church in Centralia and the Christ View Christian Church in Christopher. Stella loved her grandchildren and family very much, and she enjoyed spending time with them.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Tim Robinson of New Minden; a daughter, Christina Payne and her fiancée, Patrick Braun of Pinckneyville; two grandchildren, Madison and Cassandra Braun; parents, Robert and Jenette Gouge of Buckner; two brothers, Michael Gouge and his wife Janice, of Greenville, and Joseph Gouge and his wife, Margie, of Buckner; a sister, Robin Akin and her husband, Vince, of Belleville; a brother-in-law, Rick Robinson of Ashley; a sister-in-law, Tammy Phillips and her husband, Mark of Cambria; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Damon and Beatrice Harrison, and paternal grandparents, James W. and Stella Gouge.
