Margie Jo Foster (Rilying) Pearce, 89 years young, passed away on May 31, 2020 at her residence in Harrisburg.

Marge was born in Harlingen, Texas on Nov. 27, 1930 to the late Homer and Margaret (Boyett) Foster. Fun-loving and a people person, Marge never met a stranger. She grew up in the small town of Eldorado, working as a car hop at Rennies on State Street and the best-ever popcorn girl at the Orpheum Theater. She met and seven weeks later, married, the love of her life, George Rilying, while working as a waitress at the Town House Cafe.

George and Marge became the parents of Allan and Lisa and raised their family in the country in Eldorado. Marge was a regular on her Tuesday night bowling league and you could see her and George every Monday night throughout the summer at the Saline County Golf and Country Club in the "Twilight League."

George passed away suddenly on Oct. 13, 1973. Heartbroken, but being the strong survivor she had been raised, Marge went to work at C.P. Burnetts Bank where she reconnected with an old high school sweetheart, Charles Pearce. They rekindled their romance and were married on April 18, 1975.

Marge then became a devoted farmer's wife; early breakfasts, packing lunches to deliver to the fields and even wrangling a cow or two, if need be. Life was simple and she settled right in.

As her health began to deteriorate in later years, Charles unexpectedly passed away. After 41 years of marriage Marge was widowed again.

Her last few years have been spent as a resident of Reflections @ The Villas of Holly Brook, where she has been loved and cared for by the best group of caregivers on this Earth. Her family could not have asked for better or more loving care.

Marge was preceded in death by her father, Homer Foster, and stepfather, John Henderson; her mother, Margaret Boyett Henderson; a baby sister, Agnes Daime; and her brother, James Foster.

She is survived by her son, Allan (Sandy) Rilying of Eldorado; daughter, Lisa (Gerald) Schmidt of Nashville, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Chad (Michele) Rilying of Eldorado, Max Bean of Nashville, Tennessee and Sam (Bailee) Bean of Bell Buckle, Tennessee. She is also survived by three beautiful great-grandsons, Nolan James Rilying, Samuel Max and Nash Allan Bean. She is also survived by several cousins and nieces and nephews.

She was a fun, loving, wonderful mother who we will miss dearly. Her light shines bright through us all and we know she will be looking after us forever, loving us always.

Private graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Wolf Creek Cemetery, with Rick Wilson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the Eldorado Memorial Library. Envelopes will be available.
