Frances C. Piotrowski, 95, of Tamaroa, passed away at 1:56 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Frances had been a homemaker and caretaker of her loved ones. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa.

She was born Nov. 23, 1924 at Tamaroa, the daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Zabczyk) Michon.

She married George Piotrowski on Nov. 29, 1952 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2013.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Zalas of Bensenville, Illinois and Frances Valenta of Bolingbrook, Illinois; five grandchildren, Michael Zalas of Bensenville, Christopher Browne of Bolingbrook, Mary (John) Drowns of Plainfield, Matthew (Lauren) Browne of Plainfield and Jessica Browne of Bolingbrook; and five great-grandchildren, Michael Zalas, Grace Zalas, Sophie Zalas, Charlotte Browne and Amelia Browne.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Victoria Prazuch; and two brothers, Walter Michon and Joseph Michon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa with Fr. Joseph Oganda officiating.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m.

Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Friends may make memorials to the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, which will be accepted at the funeral home.
