DU QUOIN -- Floyd William Moore, 79, of Du Quoin, passed away at 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2019 at his residence.
Floyd had been a farmer. He was a United States Army veteran of Vietnam.
He was born Sept. 15, 1940 in Du Quoin, the son of James and Dora (Beard) Moore.
He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings, Genevie (Moore) Copeland, Jessie Judentiz, Robert Moore, Troy Moore, Melba Lange, Orval Moore, Evelyn Swatkowski, Harvey Moore and Ronald Moore.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the United Pentecostal Church in Du Quoin with a meal following. A service will be conducted at the church at noon on that day with Rev. Dan McKinnies officiating.
