Regina Dawn Mitchell, "Momma G," age 58, of Carrier Mills, passed away at 1:39 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019 at home, surrounded by her family.

Regina was born on Jan. 24, 1961 in Harrisburg to Bob Dean and Rosalie (Toth) Mitchell. Regina was a CNA, homemaker and a member of Harvest Deliverance Center of Harrisburg.

Her children and grandchildren were her life and she loved raising kids whether they were hers or not. She also enjoyed playing bingo and painting rocks.

Regina is survived by five children: son, Christopher (Stacey) Mitchell of Herrin; daughter Shannon (Marc) Shelton of Evansville, Indiana; son Matthew (Brittainy) Smith of Galatia; son Robert (Amanda) Smith of Harrisburg; daughter Rebecca Smith of Carrier Mills, and a son that she loved as her own, Mario Booth of Wadesville, Indiana.

Regina is also survived by her father, Bob Dean Mitchell; 18 grandchildren, Lance, Braxton, Braiden, Logan, Hannah, DeAndre, Shaniah, Tryscity, RaeLeigh, Teeanna, Trennen, Kayela, Dakota, Nick, Zackary, Alexis, Ryinn and Ellijiah; her brother, Rick (Val) Mitchell of Carrier Mills, sister, Rhonda (Junior) Bustamante of Cicero, brother Steve Mitchell of Harrisburg; brother, Maverick (Lisa) Mitchell of Aurora, brother Thomas Mitchell of Bowling Green, Kentucky; sister, Marylie (Bill) Fugate of Carrier Mills; and an abundance of nieces and nephews.

Regina was preceded in death by her mother, Rosalie Mitchell; her grandmother, Mary Toth; a grandson, Dakota Moss; a niece, Heather Mitchell; and a nephew, David Wolford.

Funeral services for Regina Dawn Mitchell will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Ownly Williams will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at Reed Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Reed Funeral Chapel to help offset expenses.
