Kenneth Butler, age 80, of Harrisburg, passed away at 4:28 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Kenneth was born on March 21, 1939 in Saline County to the late Louie and Madge (Perkins) Butler. He married Linda Feazel on March 26, 1957 in Harrisburg, and she survives.

Kenneth was a mechanic for Sahara Coal Company for over 25 years.

He loved to work on lawn mowers and small engines in his spare time.

He was a member of Equality Methodist Church.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Linda Butler of Harrisburg; daughter, Debbie (Scott) Aud of Harrisburg; son, Kenny Butler of Elizabethtown; grandson, Justin (Susie) Aud of Galatia; brother, Denzel (Colleen) Butler of Harrisburg; sister, Laverne Winters of Kent, Ohio; sister-in-law, Peggy Pickering of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne Butler and Donald "Doc" Butler; and a sister in infancy.

Funeral services for Kenneth Butler will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Revs. Billy Dye Jr. and Thad Galloway will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held before the service, from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019 at Reed Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions in honor of Kenneth Butler may be made to the Equality Methodist Church Food Pantry, and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
