Margie M. Provart, formerly of Du Quoin

Margie M. Provart, 95, formerly of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Aperion Care in Mascoutah, Illinois.

Margie was a cook at the Perry County Jail. She also had worked at P.R. Mallory.

Margie was a buyer and seller at yard sales in Sesser and Energy.

She was born June 26, 1923 in Du Quoin, the daughter of Beulah Woolsey. She married Harry Provart Jr. and he preceded her in death in 2004.

Margie is survived by one son, Allen (Darlene) Provart of Belleville, Illinois; one granddaughter, Stephanie (Jason) Boone of Belleville; one brother, Jerry Woolsey; one sister, Donna Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Barney Woolsey, Garry Woolsey and Jim Woolsey; and one sister, Eileen Todd.

Graveside services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Paradise Cemetery in Tamaroa with the Rev. Greg Shelton officiating. Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Friends may make memorials to the Paradise Cemetery, which will be accepted at the funeral home. Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin is in charge of arrangements.
