Gary Bertis Reynolds, age 71 of Harrisburg, passed away at 7:33 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at his residence in Harrisburg.
Gary was born on Nov. 18, 1947 to Bertis J. and Ova Lee (Dowdy) Reynolds. Gary was a carpenter and a Vietnam Army veteran and he loved motorcycles.
Gary is survived by his mother, Ova Lee Reynolds of Carrier Mills; sister, Connie (Danny) Morse of Pope County; niece, Amy (Aron) Edwards of Carrier Mills; Tara (Andy) Freebourn of Marion; five great-nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Elizabeth Gee of Harrisburg.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Bertis J. Reynolds.
Graveside services for Gary Bertis Reynolds will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2019 at Spring Valley Cemetery. The Rev. Travis Butler will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2019 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Army National Guard, Harrisburg and Carrier Mills American Legions and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
