Diana Marie Kelso-Wells, 69, of Marion, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Diana was born on March 21, 1949, the daughter of Edward and Ann (Suarez) Lyons in Centralia. She married her best friend, Dale Kelso, on Aug. 16, 1969 and he preceded her in death in March of 1997. She went on to marry Paul Wells and they later divorced.

Many survive who benefited from Diana's support and love, including her children, Stacey Horst of Centralia, Christopher and Pam Kelso of Bloomington, Kevin and Tina Kelso of Sandoval, and Kelly and Vanessa Kelso of Colorado; grandchildren, Jessica Kelso, Megan Kelso, Peyton Kelso, Briar Kelso, Blake Witthaus, Kalob Kelso, and Helena Kelso; great-grandchildren, Sawyer Mick, and Baby Witthaus (expected); sisters, Evelyn Lyons of Sandoval and Barbara Donahue of New Jersey.

Along with her husband of 27 years, Dale Kelso, Diana was preceded in death by both her parents, Edward and Ann Lyons; and an infant brother, Edward Jr.

Diana was of the Catholic faith. She was an amazing, caring friend and enjoyed making memories with each person she was close to. Diana could be found curled up with a good book or relaxing on a long walk.

Her family was her heart and she cherished each moment spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and sisters. Diana's life was an example to all she knew and her legacy will continue on in each of them.

A celebration of life service will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval with Sister Marlene Buese, SSND, officiating. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery in Sandoval.

Family and friends are welcome to attend visitation, from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27 at the funeral home in Sandoval. Memorials may be made in Diana's honor to Six Lemons.
