Georgia E. Kellerman, 89, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:15 a.m., Monday, Dec. 17, 2018 at her residence.

Georgia had retired from Vogel Chevrolet and Bethel Lutheran Pre-School. She was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Du Quoin. Georgia was also a member of Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Holiday Ramblers Camping Club and Good Sam Camping Club.

She was born Oct. 24, 1929 in Baldwin, the daughter of George and Alvina (Zimmer) Lakeman.

She married Elias "Bud" Kellerman on Dec. 7, 1963 in Collinsville, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1995.

Georgia is survived by three children, Kathy Meyer of Du Quoin, Karl Kellerman of Du Quoin, and Carolyn (Greg) Lamb of Effingham; four stepchildren, JoAnn Thomas of Springfield, David (Diane) Kellerman of Arenzville, Illinois, Annette (Richard) Jokisch of Bluff Springs, and Willis Kellerman of Beardstown; five grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; 15 step-great-grandchildren with one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Janet Sue Kellerman, in infancy; one stepson, Jeff Kellerman; and three sisters, Paula Piel, Ruth Gielow and Delia Bergman.

Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Du Quoin, with Pastor Alan Kornacki, Jr. officiating.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 20, at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church.

Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Nashville.

Friends may make memorials to the Bethel Lutheran Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois, which will be accepted at the funeral home.
