Mr. Charles Franklin Clark, age 90, of Metropolis, passed away on Monday, Oct. 1, 2018 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 at the Miller-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis, with the Rev. David Deem officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Clark was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the First Church of God. He was one of several community members to start our local Khoury League Baseball League. He was an honorary chaplain and a member of the AM Vets

Charles is survived by his daughters, Cathy (Gene) Tilker of Metropolis and Rebecca (Frank) Slepko of Port Orchard, Washington; son, Bradley (Linda) Clark of College Station, Texas; six grandchildren, Christiana Clark and Katelyn Clark, both of College Station, Texas, Steve Tilker and wife Xinia of Murray, Kentucky, Jeff Tilker of Paducah, Kentucky, and Amanda and Nick Slepko, both of Seattle, Washington; seven great-grandchildren, Donovan, Damienn, Danny, Ellie, Daphne, Desiree and Dennis Tilker; adopted daughter Carolyn (Rollie) Bunting; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Annis (Williams) Clark; and wife of 64 years, Betty (Sowels) Clark.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Miller-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hope Hill Children's Home 700 Hope Hill Road, Hope, KY 40334.
