Dorothy A. Niermann, 88, of Chester, passed away at 6:37 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester.

She was born to the late Leo and Gertrude (nee Gartner) Junger on October 29, 1929 in Chester. She married Wilfred L. Niermann on June 7, 1952 in Chester; he preceded her in death on October 8, 2006.

Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Chester. She was also a member of the C.C.W. Altar Sodality at church. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and flowers.

Survivors include three sons, David Niermann of St. Peters, Mo.; Steve (Bernice) Niermann of Chester; and Brian Niermann of Chester; Daughter-in-law Linda Niermann of Troy; four siblings, Lawrence "Bud" Junger of Wenatchee, Wash.; Vernon (Geraldine) Junger of Ellis Grove, Rose Callahan of St. Louis, Mo., and Lori (Marv) Fairchild of St. Louis, Mo.; five grandchildren, Michael (Brittany) Niermann, Edward (Jamie) Niermann, Katie (Utham) Balachandran, Derek Niermann, and Rachael Niermann; and five great-grandchildren: Jake, Rue, Hunter, Samuel and Sonia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Joe Niermann; and two siblings, Paul Junger and Louise Bleem.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chester, with the Very Reverend Eugene H. Wojcik, V.F., officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Chester.

Visitation will be from 8-10:45 a.m. Saturday at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, 839 Lehmen Drive, Chester.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Renovation Fund or Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home Activity Fund.
