GALATIA -- Wanda Lee (Peyton) Sisney, 93, passed away at 9:50 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, in Shawnee Rose Nursing Home in Harrisburg.
She was born Dec. 1, 1924, in Harrisburg, to Charley and Ethel (Stanley) Peyton.
Wanda married Milford Sisney on Feb. 24, 1940, and he preceded her in death in 1969.
Survivors include three children, Wanda Faye (Sisney) Zarecor, Wilma Marlene (Sisney) Wells and Milford Alan (Therese) Sisney, all of Galatia; 10 grandchildren, Johnna Wells of Collinsville, Lindell Wells of Galatia, John Wells (Karen) of Eldorado, Duane Wells of Galatia, Alisha (Sisney) Reed (Preston) of West City, Ashley (Sisney) DeMars (Dylan) of Belle, Missouri, Alayna (Sisney) Castros (Aaron) of Shawneetown, Afton (Sisney) Williams (J.J.) of Eldorado, Madison Sisney of Galatia and McKenna Sisney of Galatia; five great-grandchildren, Kasey Wells of McLeansboro, Wyatt Wells of Eldorado, Cassidy Wells of Eldorado, Persephone Reed of West City and Pandora Reed of West City; brother, Bobby Peyton (Mary) of Clarksville Tennessee; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Charles Peyton, Laura Peyton, Thelma (Peyton) Pritchett, Mary Peyton, Paul Peyton, Iley Peyton, Everett Peyton, Billy Peyton, Elizabeth (Peyton) Malone, Shirley Peyton and Dean Peyton.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, in Rhine Cemetery, north of Raleigh, with the Rev. Kevin Peyton officiating.
