JUNCTION -- Charles Douglas Rushing, 73, passed away at 1:10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
He was born Nov. 7, 1944, near Fredonia, Kentucky, the son of Guy Rushing and Lola May (Rushing) Bush.
Charles was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Daniela Nicol Villanueva and Jill Rushing, both of Troy, Missouri; three brothers, Wayne and Neva Jean Rushing of Shawneetown, Kenneth and Kay Rushing of Dongola and Henry and Sara Rushing of Karnack, Texas; two sisters, Ruby Tucker of Junction and SanDee and Tom Brown of Hudson, Florida; three grandchildren, Cash, Mason and Jordyn; and special friends, Rickey Watters and Kenneth and Laura Pumphrey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bill Rushing.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, in Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown with the Rev. Michael Rushing officiating. Burial with military rites was in Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
