Elaine A. Rinderer, 81, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 11 p m, Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital, Ste. Genevieve, Missouri.
She was born to the late Herman and Sophia C. (nee Stegmann) Hartmann on December 9, 1935 in Jackson County, Illinois.
She married William L. Rinderer on June 28, 1958 in Chester, Illinois; he preceded her in death on September 25, 1997.
She had worked at Gilster Mary-Lee Corporation in Chester for 26 and a half years.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois and American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include: three children - William (Teri) Rinderer, Chester; Herman Charles (Michelle) Rinderer, Chester and Dollatine Rinderer, Chester.
She is also survived by one brother - Herman C. Hartmann, Ava; two sisters-in-law - Arlene Westerman, Ellis Grove and Ruth Rinderer Meyer, Benning, KS; one brother-in-law, Frank Lailer, Chester; 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and godchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, and one sister -- Darlene Lailer; two great-grandsons - Trevvor Ward and Xavier Helmers, and two great nephews - Cody Lailer and Ernest Lailer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church, Chester with Rev. Justin Massey officiating.
Entombment is in Evergreen Cemetery in Chester.
Visitation will be Friday, 4 p.m. -- 8 p.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home and Saturday 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. St. John Lutheran Church, Chester.
