Orville Louis Horn of Creal Springs

CREAL SPRINGS -- Orville Louis Horn, 77, passed away at 1:35 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, in Marion VA Medical Center.

Orville was born June 16, 1940, in Williamson County to the late Louis David and Mary Ethel (Tanner) Horn.

He married Marjorie (Rose) Horn on July 17, 1963, in Creal Springs.

Orville was owner and operator of Horn's Market in Creal Springs. He also was a Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; two children, Donald Horn and Sharon (Donnie) Tanner; two grandchildren, Amanda Duke and Krystal Perkins; seven great-grandchildren, Baylee Webb, Trey Vaughn, Kaden Vaughn, Esariah Duke, Ella Grace Duke, Aurora Perkins and Elijah Perkins; brother, Bobbie (Debra) Horn; sister, Norma (Herman) Frey; sisters-in-law, Patty and James Hunt, Katy and Ray Newbold and Shirley Rose and Ollie Horn; mother-in-law, Thelma Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Kenneth V. Horn and William A. Horn; brother-in-law, John G. Rose; and sister-in-law, Norma Horn.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, in Cosby-Sloan Funeral Home in Creal Springs with private burial in Simmons Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Community Living Center at Marion VA Medical Center.
