Wanda J. Williamson of Du Quoin

Wanda J. Williamson, 83, of Du Quoin passed away at 3:17 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at Baptist Health in Paducah, Ky.

Wanda had been a certified nursing assistant for the nursing home. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was born March 16, 1934, in Beaucoup, the daughter of Cecil Everett and Mary Alice (Rathke) Dorsey. She married Thomas Williamson in Chicago, and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Ralph Smith of Du Quoin; two grandchildren, Jennifer Gray and Barbie Gray, both of Evansville, Ind.; five siblings, Myrtle Williams of Du Quoin, Robert Dean Dorsey of Du Quoin, Diane Fisher of Lexington, Ky., Mike McDonald and wife Carol of Sedalia, Mo., and Pat Boles and husband Bob of Sesser; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Sandra Gray; one granddaughter, Paula Gray; and one brother, Cecil Dorsey Jr.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with the Rev. Dan McKinnies officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the Perry County Humane Society. They will be accepted at the funeral home.
