MARION -- JoEllen (Kuykendall) McCollough, 57, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Marion, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017.

She was born Aug. 13, 1960, in Marion to J.B. and Evelyn (Pate) Kuykendall.

JoEllen obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees from Indiana University Southeast. She taught English at IU Southeast and served as a professional writing consultant at IU Southeast Writing Center.

JoEllen was a godly woman who spent many hours studying the Bible and in prayer. She was a member of Evangel World Prayer Center.

She also enjoyed traveling the U.S. and abroad with her husband. JoEllen lovingly gave her time to raise her family and serve the church. She greatly adored her family, and spending time with family was her favorite pastime.

JoEllen will be greatly missed and her memory will remain forever in the hearts of her husband of 36 years, Kent McCollough; four daughters, Emily (Chris) Eastman, Melissa (Matt) Butner, Abigail (Schyler) McNeil and Molly (Richie) Quick; parents, J.B. and Evelyn (Pate) Kuykendall; brother, Jerry (Linda) Kuykendall; and three sisters, Jane (Ken) Anderson. Barbara (Jeff) Kuykendall-Woodfield and twin sister Jennifer (Phil) Kubow. She will also be greatly missed by seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, in Evangel World Prayer Center, 6900 Billtown Road, in Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
