Victor 'Vic' Barger of Eddyville

EDDYVILLE -- Victor "Vic" Barger, 77, passed away Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, in Paducah.

He was born Nov. 18, 1939, to Haywood Dee and Rena Gladys (Maynor) Barger in Eddyville.

Vic worked for Operators 318 for 55 years. He loved working, cookouts, singing and church, but most of all spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Barger of Eddyville; three sons, Randy "Humphrey" and wife Beth Barger of Harrisburg, Rick Barger of Eddyville and Joey and wife Debbie Barger of Elizabethtown; adopted children, Jared and wife Wendy Barger of Bluefield, West Virginia, and Bobbie Jo Jeffords of Eddyville; three stepchildren, Teresa and husband Shayne Mugge of Harrisburg, Amanda and husband Clyde Hunt of Stonefort and Robert and wife Megan Herren of Harrisburg; two sisters, Golda and husband Marvin Williamson of Glendale and Gayla Barger of Eddyville; brother, Claris Barger of Eddyville; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; 11 great-stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one great-grandchild; sister, Gladys Seets; and uncle, A.Z. Barger.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, in Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville with Brother Steve Dunn officiating. Interment followed in New Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at the funeral home.
