Neal F. Harris III of Du Quoin

Neal F. Harris III, 49, of Du Quoin passed away at 7:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.
Neal had been a mechanic. He was an avid guitar player.
He was born Oct. 1, 1968, in Du Quoin, IL, the son of Neal F. and Carolyn (Huffstutler) Harris II.
He married Tammy Morris Aug. 20, 2011, in St. Johns, and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin; two children, Angela Morris of Du Quoin and Benjamin Miller and wife Alison of Du Quoin; his mother, Carolyn Harris of Du Quoin; five grandchildren, Blake, Anabelle, Maddie, Lainey and Vance, all of Du Quoin; one brother, John Allen Harris of Du Quoin; one sister, Debi Jo Siefert and husband Chuck of Du Quoin; four nieces; one nephew; two great-nieces; and two great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents Leivalyn and Minnie Huffstutler and Franklin and Louise Harris.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at St. Johns Park in St. Johns.
