Shaun Allen Morgan of Tamaroa

Shaun Allen Morgan, 40, of Tamaroa passed away in a motor vehicle accident at 3:36 p.m. Thursday Sept. 21, 2017.
Shaun enjoyed carpentry work and artwork. He had a special love for his family and children. Shaun was attending Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he had a bachelor's degree in construction technical management and was finishing his master's degree. He would have graduated with his master's this December. He was a member of Central Christian Church in Mt. Vernon.
He was born Aug. 12, 1977, in Pinckneyville, the son of Floyd Edward and Marla Faye (Chapman) Morgan.
Shaun is survived by his mother, Marla Morgan of Tamaroa; a daughter, Cierra Morgan of St. Louis; a sister, Zella (Bill) Buerkle, and two nieces, Hayley and Alexis Haycraft, of Irvington, Ky.; three uncles, Frank (Sharon) Chapman of Tamaroa, John Chapman of Tamaroa and David Chapman of Tamaroa; two aunts, Connie (Gene) Heisner of Pinckneyville and Myra Henson of Tamaroa; and many cousins including Chad Chapman, Kendra (Brian) Holzum, Krystal (Jimmy) Geyer, Kyle (Brittany) Heisner, Kelsey (Nick) Fry and Katrina (Greg) Templeton.
Shaun was preceded in death by a daughter, Savannah Morgan; his father, Floyd Morgan; his grandfather, Harry Chapman; an uncle, Patrick Chapman; and two cousins, Chasity Chapman and Richard Busbey.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, at Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Rev. Joe Crowe officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Burial will be at Tamaroa Cemetery in Tamaroa.
Friends may make memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. They will be accepted at the funeral home.
