Martha Jane Cummings of West City

Martha Jane Cummings, 85, of West City passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 14, 2017, at her home.
She was born Feb. 1, 1932, in Rend City, the daughter of Lawrence and Martha (Zachariah) Burzynski.
Mrs. Cummings is survived by her daughter, Debbie Pritchard and husband Mike of Benton; son Greg Cox of Knoxville, Tenn.; son-in-law Jerry DeBusk of Ocean Isle, N.C.; four grandchildren, Carli Whaley and husband Jay of Knoxville, Tenn., Laura Poupore and husband Kevin of Tarlboro, N.C., Cristy Mandrell of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mallory Pritchard of Caruthersville, Mo.; five great-grandchildren, Zoe, Ella, Norah Beth, Gage and Matilda; two brothers, Marion Burzynski and wife Ann of Marion and Butch Burzynski and wife Janet of Benton; and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Cummings; a daughter, Cathi DeBusk; four sisters, Mary Freeman, Helen Thompson, Stella Stewart and Ruth Grammer; and six brothers, Raymond, Stanley, Walter, John, Lawrence and an infant brother, Frank.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at First Christian Church, 302 S. Main St. in Benton. The family will greet friends after 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
