MARION -- Guy Emery, 89, passed away at 11:50 a.m. Sunday, July 9, 2017, at his home in Marion.
He was born April 7, 1928, in Marion, the son of Guy and Ethel (Rogers) Emery. He married Betty Jo (Green) Emery, and she preceded him in death.
Guy was a veteran, proudly serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He retired from Ford Motor Credit and also worked as a commercial real estate broker.
His memberships included Elks B.P.O.E., and Rotary Club of Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include three sons, Steve Emery and wife Carol of Marion, Kevin Emery and wife Mary Ann of St. Louis and Darren Emery and wife Tracy of Manhattan, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Quentin Emery, Sean (Kim) Emery, Jenny (Jon) Ghani, Scott Emery, Hannah Emery, Megan Emery and Grace Emery; three great-grandchildren, Brynn, Lake and Elliot; five brothers, Dee (Marci) Emery of Jackson, Tennessee, Ron Emery of Marion, James (Mary Alice) Emery of Marion, Mickey (Christina) Emery of Parrish and Greg (Jackie) Emery of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Jo Emery; two sisters, Madaleine and Deanie; and sister-in-law, Janet Emery.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 15, in Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Please note. Casual dress is suggested.
