CARRIER MILLS -- Judith Ann "Judy" Parton, 75, died at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017, in Shawnee Rose Care Center in Harrisburg.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today, June 16, in Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Ryan Beck officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 16, 1942, in Harrisburg to the late Bernard and Midge (Williams) Harris. She married Jerry Joe Parton on Sept. 11, 1962, and he preceded her in death Feb. 26, 2007.
She was a postal worker for Carrier Mills Post Office for 32 years before retiring in 1997.
Survivors include her son, Joe (Toni) Parton of Carrier Mills; grandson, Josh (Emily) Parton of Columbus, Indiana; two grandchildren, Vivian and Sam Parton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Parton; brother, Marion "Pete" Harris; and daughter-in-law, Julie Parton.
