Jefferson County detectives nab 2 people, drugs and pets

Detectives with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office investigated a criminal sexual assault incident on Jan. 30 at 4588 East Dix-Irvington Road, located in northwest Jefferson County, which resulted in the  arrest of a juvenile and Richard M. Foutch Jr., 39.

Detectives arrived at the residence at approximately 3:40 p.m. and issued a search warrant to collect evidence pertaining to the criminal sexual assault case. While serving the search warrant, officers located more than 50 grams of cannabis, $16,685 in currency and other drug-related paraphernalia.

As a result of the investigation, a male juvenile was arrested for criminal sexual assault. The juvenile is currently being held in juvenile detention with bond to be set.

Foutch is being held in the Jefferson County Justice Center and is charged with manufacture/delivery of more than 500 grams of cannabis and is awaiting the setting of bond.

Four dogs and a pet snake were also seized from the property and secured by the Jefferson County animal warden for safekeeping.

Sheriff Roger D. Mulch said investigation in the case continues.
