“Volley for Shay” — a show of support for Shay Clark, a second-grade teacher at the Benton Grade School — will take place during the Benton Rangerettes’ junior high volleyball matches Monday, Feb. 13, against West Frankfort.
Clark has been diagnosed with breast cancer, and area students, families, friends and fans are encouraged to attend to show their support.
The volleyball matches and the event begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Benton Middle School gymnasium. T-shirts will be sold, as well as face-painting, concessions and raffles. Among the items to be raffled are Six Flags tickets and Holiday World-Splashin' Safari tickets, a candy bouquet, and Ranger and volleyball apparel.
