Benton, Ill. -

Franklin County Animal Control will reap the benefits of the Trent Terry Memorial Poker Run, being held Saturday, July 18.

Sponsored by Franklin County ABATE, the poker run begins with a meeting at 10 a.m. for A Brotherhood Aimed Toward Education members at Steve’s Customs in Johnston City. Sign-up begins at 11 a.m., with the first bike out at noon.

Stops include Maria’s Roadhouse in Whittington, the Pinckneyville Moose Lodge and the Italian Club in Coello. The event ends at City Limits in Benton.

Organizer Kandy Jones said food would be served at the Pinckneyville Moose Lodge and at City Limits.

“We will have a DJ at the last stop, as well as an auction,” she said. “The cost is $15 per person or $25 per couple.”

Terry had a passion for animals and motorcycles, Jones said.
