The Illinois Department of Transportation is alerting motorists traveling Illinois Route 14 from Christopher to West City of upcoming road repairs.
Beginning Monday, Sept. 8, weather permitting, Illinois Route 14 will be reduced to one lane beginning near the railroad bridge just east of Christopher and running west of West City. Work will involve milling, patching, resurfacing and reconstruction of the intersection at Rend City Road.
Motorists should observe message boards for current information, reduce speed and use caution when traveling in this area. To avoid delays, motorists should use an alternate route.
