A retirement ceremony for Benton Fire Chief Mickey Marshall is scheduled for Tuesday, March 23, at the fire station.

The event is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m.

Marshall stepped down earlier this year because of health issues. Since that time, David Moore has served as acting chief.

Commissioner Dennis Miller said the city has received 30 résumés for the fire chief's position.

Benton also has received 25 résumés for the position of police chief, which will become vacant at the end of May when Mike O'Neill retires from the force.
