Benton Mayor Gary Kraft signed a proclamation declaring Wednesday, Sept. 3, as FTD Good Neighbor Day.

Dave Webster said festivities begin at 8 a.m. at Flowers by Dave, located at 1101 N. Main St. in Benton.

“In exchange for canned and non-perishable food for the Benton-West City Ministerial Alliance, participants will receive a dozen mixed flowers to share with others and keeping one for themselves,” Webster said. “Coffee and cake will be available during the morning hours. We will have a live remote beginning at 8:30 a.m. by WQRL Radio.”

This is the 12th year for FTD Good Neighbor Day, Webster said.
