MARION -- For the past 33 years, the Marion Knights of Columbus have given Marion a Fourth of July celebration that draws visitors from across southern Illinois and even with the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing measures, 2020 did not disappoint.

Around 2,000 people filled parking lots around the Marion KC grounds, some milling the grounds where food vendors offered a variety of culinary delights.

Although there was no carnival, there were games, free inflatables for the kids, and entertainment on both nights.
