The Benton Rotary Club has honored three of its members with the highest degree in Rotary International.

District Governor Gary Hamm, from Metropolis, presented Rhonda Gilbreath, Gary Messersmith and Steve Woodfin with the Paul Harris Fellow Award. They were recognized for their devotion to the ideals of goodwill, peace, and understanding -- the goals of Rotarians the world over.

Paul Harris founded Rotary International in 1905. The Benton Rotary Club was established in 1922 and continues to be quite active in raising money for many local charities.
