Wildcat Bluff Wander

Join Cache River State Natural Area staff from 10 to 11:30 a.m. for a guided milelong hike in Wildcat Bluff / Heron Pond Nature Preserve on Saturday, Nov. 16. This hike on Lookout Point Trail will be to a hillside prairie with spectacular views of the Cache River basin and floodplain forest. Resident wildlife and flora along the way will be identified. The trail conditions may be wet due to seep springs so wear appropriate footwear. Meet in the parking lot of Wildcat Bluff Access. Call the Cache River Wetlands Center for more information, (618) 657-2064.

Trees

For the last story hour of 2019, from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17, Cache River State Natural Area staff will read a nature story involving trees. The tree theme will be carried on with a game, hands-on activity, or outside nature walk. Please preregister with the Cache River Wetlands Center at (618) 657-2064.
