INA -- When Rend Lake College presents its fall play Nov. 7-10, three Pinckneyville natives will take the stage.

Autumn Mohr, Kailey Greer, and Hayley Winter will join a cast and crew of over 30 area students in a production of Crag Sodaro's "Sinbad."

The play is a comical take on the classic character from One Thousand and One Arabian Nights.

"This may be one of the most challenging plays I've ever directed," said RLC theater professor Tracey Webb. "The set changes have to be lightning fast and there is a lot of dialogue for every cast member to memorize."

RLC sophomore Dakota Frederick was astounded by the number of lines he must memorize for the title role.

"This role is a challenge, but I'm loving it," he said.

Webb said the diversity of the many characters and exotic locations were "irresistible" to her and promise to keep the audience entertained.

RLC sophomore Taylor Frank said she is thrilled to play a villain.

"I love my character," said Frank, who will play the role of "Heffernetti, a powerful character who is impatient with men, considering them to be incompetent fools. "She is also a megalomaniac, somebody completely opposite of who I really am, so it's a blast playing that part."

RLC sophomore and theater veteran Madison Webb is double-cast as a handmaiden and "Mama" for the production.

"This is probably one of the most talented casts I've ever had the pleasure to work with," she said.

The show goes up on Nov. 7. At 7 p.m. Shows on Nov. 8 and Nov. 9 are scheduled for 7 p.m. The Nov. 10 (Sunday) performance is a matinee set to begin at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $12 and can be purchased by calling the RLC box office at (618) 437-5321, ext. 1467.

All seating is reserved.
