Economic development group receives grant

Thanks to a grant from the U.S.Bank Foundation, Dave Cooper, executive director of the Benton/West City Economic Development Corp., was presented a check for $2,500 by U.S. Bank branch manager Shelley Ingram and assistant branch manager Alex Mandrell. The grant will be used for marketing Benton's Industrial Parks I and II, plus the I/57 Airport Business Park on Du Quoin Street. Cooper says TV ads, Facebook boosts and professional signage will help in bringing industry into these three industrial sites.
