DU QUOIN -- A special meeting of the Du Quoin School Board was called last week with President Zach McPherson calling the proceedings to order at 7:32 a.m.
The only agenda item concerned personnel moves.
Following a nine-minute closed session, the board hired Ryan Goetter as a middle school band teacher for the 2019-2020 school year and transferred Debbie Pierce to a first-grade teaching position for the 2019-2020 school year.
The meeting adjourned at 7:45 a.m.
