HARRISBURG -- One of the most popular early spring events in Harrisburg, the Harrisburg High School band garage sale, is back this evening and Saturday.

The sale isn't truly in a garage. Instead, it fills Davenport Gymnasium at the High School, featuring offerings from more than 80 families.

According to HHS Band Director Hannah Drake, the Saturday portion is an all-day event, complete with food and drink available for purchase, in addition to lots of great deals.

Earlybirds can hit the limited opening 6:30 to 8 p.m.tonight. Saturday's event is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Concessions will be available throughout the day Saturday. Breakfast items include biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls and muffins provided by Steam Cafe and Huck's.

Lunch will feature hamburgers and hot dogs.

Funds raised from the garage sale will help pay for band members' trip to Dollywood this summer.

In addition, direct donations may be made to help upgrade band instruments.
