Kindergarten pre-registration and screenings for fall 2019 will take place over the course of three days next month.
Benton Community Consolidate School District 47 will hold the registration sessions from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, and 8 a.m. to noon Friday, April 26.
Kindergarten screening is for children who will be 5 years old before Sept. 1, 2019. Screening is by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call the K-4 office at 618-438-7181.
A new kindergarten student will need a copy of his or her birth certificate; a social security number; three proofs of residency, with one being a real estate tax bill, signed lease, mortgage papers, agreement of sale or letter from resident; proof of guardianship (if applicable); immunization records and physicals due by Aug. 8; a dental exam (dated after Nov. 15, 2018); and eye exam by an optometrist due by Oct. 15, 2019.
