Chiropractor to address pain and opioid crisis Wednesday

CARBONDALE -- Dr. Julie Bird, DC, co-founder and chiropractic physician at Allied Physicians & Rehab of Southern Illinois will be making the presentation, "Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain and the Opioid Crisis: How your chiropractic physician can help" at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at Bandana's restaurant in Carbondale, 309 E. Main St.

Bird will cover a brief history of the opioid epidemic along with ways that chiropractic care can play an active part in your health care team.

With over 23 years of experience serving Southern Illinois, along with her partner, Dr. Brian Bird, DC., Drs. Bird excel at treating acute and chronic lower back pain, neck pain, headaches, shoulder pain, knee pain, and sports injuries, as well as other musculoskeletal complaints.
