Waterloo police are seeking the help of the public in identifying a person of interest in the attempted robbery of the First National Bank of Waterloo on Oct. 17.

Police were called to the bank, 744 N. Market St., around 5:50 p.m. to investigate an attempted bank robbery. No one was injured during the attempt, police said, and the suspect departed before the officers arrived.

The Waterloo Police Department released images from the bank and is asking for assistance with the identification of a person of interest. The person of interest was driving the dark-colored vehicle.
