HARRISBURG -- Michael Hillegas Chapter NSDAR is proud to announce that member Lisa Thomas has been awarded National First Place in the Arts and Sculpture category of the American Heritage Art Contest.
Lisa is a colored pencil artist and enjoys the fine detail that colored pencils allow. The picture entitled "Heirlooms" was on display in Washington D.C. in the National Daughters of the American Revolution Constitution Hall in June.
Lisa also was awarded the Evelyn Cole Peters Award for Excellence, which is the highest honor to receive for artwork from NSDAR.
