Shane Simmons of Chester was the lucky winner of the VFW of Chester's $128,121 Queen of Hearts drawing on Aug. 15.

After taxes, Simmons walked away with $91,030.

Since the beginning of Queen of Hearts in Nov. 2015, there has been $277,082 in "giveaways" according to the VFW's Shannon McDonough.

The VFW has begun another Queen of Hearts drawing.

"We will again do 'deal or no deal' after 30 cards have been picked," McDonough said. "Cash prizes are awarded every week. The VFW Ladies Auxiliary sells chances for prizes during the evening every week. Food is sold during the event, so come on in hungry."
