HARRISBURG -- Saline County native and veteran country music artist Kendell Marvel will return to headline the 2018 Harrisburg Downtown Summer Bash on Saturday.

The event combines afternoon attractions along East Poplar Street -- which will be closed for the afternoon and evening -- and performances by several musicians.

This is the fourth year of the downtown summer bash. During the afternoon, there will be inflatable "bounce houses" for youngsters, plus a host of vendors on hand.

Carbondale musician Tim Crosby will be featured at 2 p.m. on the patio at Morello's Restaurant and Catering, 217 E. Poplar St. After Crosby's set, Eldorado musician Travis Beasley along with Matt Poss, who will be featured later on the stage, will play a few songs.

Crosby said he's looking forward to performing in Harrisburg.

"It sounds like it's going to be a great party in Harrisburg this weekend, and I'm happy to be a part of it," Crosby said.

The live entertainment on the stage will begin at 5 p.m. An armband ticket is required to attend. Tickets are $10 and are available at Morello's, Cherry Street Printing and Awards Inc. at 211 E. Poplar St. or at Dream Baskets, 908 S. Commercial St. in Harrisburg.

The evening entertainment features Poss, Nashville, Tennessee, recording artist and songwriter Danny Myrick, and Marvel to close the show.
