Search warrant nets two arrests on drug charges

A search warrant executed by the Marion Police Department Narcotics Unit on Aug. 8 has led to the arrest of two area residents.
The warrant was served at a residence in the 600 block of Vinewood Lane in Marion. The investigation revealed the residents, Nichole R. Swann, 38, and her boyfriend, Craig L. Simon, 26, were distributing controlled substances.
The search warrant was executed in a tactical manner with the assistance of the Marion Police Department Emergency Response Team. According to a news release from the Marion PD, the warrant was executed without incident.
A search of the residence was conducted and revealed methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, packaging materials, weighing equipment and United States Currency.
Swann was issued citations for possession of methamphetamine and possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver. Simon was issued citations for possession of a controlled substance and possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver.
Swann and Simon were taken to the Williamson County Jail where they remain, awaiting their first appearance in court.
