MARION -- Alfred Dean Travelstead, 77, of Phoenix, formerly of Marion, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix.
Al was born on April 3, 1941 in Creal Springs, the son of Clarence and Ruth (Wolfe) Travelstead.
He chose Memorial Day to leave us as he was always very proud to have been a Marine.
Al left behind two daughters, Michelle Hartley and Cheryl Travelstead; two brothers, Ronald Travelstead and Larry Travelstead; a sister, Sharon McGuire; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He will be missed by his family and friends.
Burial will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery of San Antonio, Texas.
